Funding Opportunities

Learn About The Funding Opportunities We Provide

Transportation Fund

Lycoming-Clinton Behavioral HealthChoices members are often faced with barriers to getting mental health or substance use disorder treatment services for themselves and/or family. Having no personal vehicle and lacking access to public transportation, is one of the greatest barriers. To help members overcome this problem to getting services, Lycoming-Clinton Behavioral HealthChoices offers assistance through a Transportation Fund. Providers may request a River Valley Transit Bus Pass or gas card on behalf of clients using the Behavioral HealthChoices Transportation Request form. If funds are being requested for transportation needs other than bus passes and gas cards, Behavioral HealthChoices will reimburse the agency for providing the full amount to the individual or family, upfront.

For information regarding eligibility and how to request funds, please view our Transportation Fund Flyer.

Basic Necessities Fund

Lycoming-Clinton Behavioral HealthChoices members and families sometimes have basic needs or emergency needs that they are unable to afford due to having a limited income. Although Lycoming and Clinton counties have numerous community and faith-based agencies and organizations which provide a wide-range of support for basic necessities and emergencies, some needs are still unable to be met. To help members with these needs, Lycoming-Clinton Behavioral HealthChoices offers one-time assistance through a Basic Necessities fund, maximum request amount if $150.

For information regarding eligibility and how to request funds, please review our Basic Necessities Fund Flyer.

Provider Training Funds

Lycoming-Clinton Behavioral HealthChoices believes that the building of organizational capacity through staff development is essential to improving quality and effectiveness in its providers’ programs, services, and administration. Behavioral HealthChoices will receive requests from providers for funding to reimburse costs for training opportunities which will expand clinical competencies, and have the potential to address the underserved or unmet treatment needs of Lycoming-Clinton Behavioral HealthChoices members.

To request training funds, please complete and submit the Behavioral HealthChoices Provider Request for Funding application.

Family Engagement Incentive Fund

Research regarding incentivizing family engagement indicates that offering incentives such as gift cards in conjunction with interventions produces a long-term impact on engagement and retention in children and family treatment services. Low parent and family participation rates in behavioral health services for children and families reduces the impact of treatment and the potential for positive treatment outcomes. Financial incentives can help families faced with situational barriers, Social Determinant of Health needs, or competing demands; can reduce obstacles to treatment participation and serve as positive reinforcement during what can be a difficult therapeutic process.
